He has published >100 research papers in peer reviewed journals and contributed to numerous international conferences and workshops (> 240 papers).\r\n\r\nHis research interests include studies of the microphysics and chemistry of warm, mixed phase and ice clouds, of Aerosol-Cloud interactions and of the evolution of Aerosol Properties in the boundary layer and free troposphere.\r\n\r\nHe has played a leading role in the design, management and coordination of over 75 major national and international field experiments, and has led many ground based and airborne projects (e.g the EUROTRAC GCE cap-cloud experiments at Great Dun Fell and Holme Moss, the IGAC ACE-2 and ACE-Asia Hillcloud projects on Tenerife and CheJu Do Korea) and as a Co-I on numerous NERC funded projects (UTLS-Cirrus, Polluted Troposhere projects CLOPAP, and AMPEP, and also more recently ACTIVE, VOCALS, DIAMET, BEACHON and the CLACE series of aerosol-cloud interaction experiments at the Jungfraujoch site in Switzerland), and currently on the Arctic projects ACCACIA and MAMM, and COPE in the UK.
